Hurricane Florence’s devastation has impacted all members of our church family and beyond. We appreciate the outpouring of love and patience as we’ve worked to reopen our doors. In response, we’re stepping up. Our church is more than four walls so in addition to surrounding our community in prayer, we’re stepping up to support our community in action.
PVUMC is responding by opening our doors to linemen, who are working tirelessly to restore power to our homes, by providing meals, laundry services, and shower facilities. We’re also opening as a Red Cross Volunteer intake center to support those who want to help the relief efforts.
We want to connect you with ways that you can both find support and support others in our community. As always, your giving at PVUMC makes a lasting impact in times like these as we’re able to partner with organizations making a difference. To give, click the donate button. If you have seen a shared Facebook post about needing toiletry kits, it was a post from our Youth Pastor Georgiana Pinckney. In the multiple shares, her information was omitted. If you would like to help, please email her directly at Georgiana (at) pvumc.net. Our goal is to have all kits in hand by October 15.
If you’re looking to get connected to local organizations in our community, you can hit the contact button and we’ll reach out within 24 hours to support you in your desire to serve!
We thank you for your support, patience, and prayers, and we will continue to show the love of Christ to our community!
